Day 2: Montagne Saint-Pierre

Just 1 hour from Rimouski, Montagne Saint-Pierre welcomes you to the Gaspésie region. This is the perfect spot to warm up or get your first taste of ski touring in a remote setting. The mountain has two sectors offering a range of difficulty levels, and a small hut with a glorious wood stove to warm up. In the evening, head toward Sainte-Anne-des-Monts to get ready for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3: Marsoui

For day 3, we’ll be heading to Marsoui, this incredible ski area tucked away in a valley that opens out onto the St-Laurent River. Two distinct sectors have been developed for ski touring enthusiasts. The steep valley walls and stunning forest make for some of the best and most challenging turns you’ll take. A word of caution: you are in avalanche terrain now and need to come prepared with the necessary knowledge and equipment.

Day 4: Mont Lyall

Located in the heart of the Chic-Choc mountains, Mont Lyall is one of Québec’s finest backcountry skiing playgrounds. With abundant snow, open slopes, and an authentic alpine feel, it’s the perfect destination to cap off your trip. Expect steep, consistent pitch with upwards of 300m (984ft) of vertical, and enough lines you may need to spend more than one day here.
