Chic-Chac: Something for Everyone
The Chic-Chac offers a variety of packages and à-la-carte options to suit every taste, budget, and skill level. Whether you're looking for a mechanized skiing experience, backcountry touring, or a combo package, you'll find the perfect fit here. You read that right, you can even try some catskiing on Mt York or go heliskiing! Lodging and equipment rentals are also available at the Chic-Chac on site.
Mont Porphyre
Located in the heart of the former mining town of Murdochville, Mont Porphyre benefits from generous snowfall and offers terrain perfectly suited for ski touring. The secteur Familial features several beginner and intermediate runs, ideal for getting started. The Daltons sector, steeper and more sustained, features technical lines for experienced skiers. If unfamiliar with backcountry skiing and avalanche terrain, we strongly suggest booking a guide to explore this mountain.
Exclusive Terrain with Le Couloir
Le Couloir provides exclusive access to several private backcountry areas in Haute-Gaspésie, including Mont-Louis, with its six glades carved into mature forest, and Mont-Saint-Pierre, renowned for its open zones, maple groves, and the iconic couloirs set below icefalls. The organization also holds guiding permits in alpine sectors of Gaspésie National Park — such as Mont Albert, Mont Ernest-Laforce, and Mont Macoun — as well as in the Chic-Chocs Wildlife Reserve, notably at Hog’s Back, Champ-de-Mars, and Mines Madeleine. These areas offer varied, pristine terrain for an unforgettable backcountry experience.
